| Entrance Requirements: | BSc Forestry: Students applying from high school must present a min. overall average of 65% to be considered for admission, with at least 50% in each of the following 30 level subjects: English, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics; and one subject from either Humanities, Fine Arts, Sciences, or Optional Subjects. Transfer students must meet admission standards. Applicants who have completed 24 or more transferable postsecondary will be considered for admission on the basis of their admission grade point average (AGPA) if they have an AGPA of at least 5.0 and meet all other admission requirements. Transfer students with less than 24 units of transferable course work will be considered for admission on the basis of their high school matriculation average and the post-secondary course work. Students deficient in matriculation subjects may transfer University work in the same subject area as required. BSc Forestry Business Management: 2nd year standing, with a minimum completion of 30 units of university level credits normally the admission grade point average for application is 6.0. Students are recommended to complete the first year of the BSc in Forestry program. |

| Entrance Requirements: | Applicants with Secondary Graduation must have met the
general University entrance requirements. Forestry
requirements are: English 12, Mathematics 12, two of
Biology 11, Chemistry 11, or Physics 11 (all three are
recommended), and one of Chemistry 12 or Physics 12
(depending on the program). Admission average varies
program to program and year to year. The University's
minimum acceptable average is 67%. Applicants from a College, University College or University who have completed at least 24 credits must have attained an overall Grade Point average of at least 2.0 in all credits attempted. Students entering with less than 24 credits of university-level work must also meet the secondary school requirements. Applicants with a two-year forestry technology diploma must have achieved an overall average of at least 65% in their program, plus have the required secondary school courses. Consideration will be given to individual cases of study in determining the exemptions that may be applied to the Forestry degree program. Aboriginal Admissions Policy. Aboriginal candidates who do not meet the current academic standing set by the individual faculties and schools, but who meet the university-wide academic minimum of 67% for first year programs, will be considered on an individual basis by the Faculty of Forestry and a representative of the First Nations House of Learning. Educational history, cultural knowledge, work experience, educational goals and achievements that indicate an ability to succeed at university will be considered. |
