Answer:

No. The two events are separate. You can register for the Forum on this Website. However, to register for the XII World Forestry Congress, visit the following site: www.cfm2003.org

2. Question:

I am not Aboriginal and I am not related to any Indigenous organization; can I register for the Forum?

Answer:

Yes. The event being held in a limited space, priority will be given to First Nations delegates, non Aboriginal people working directly with First Nations and guests. The Forum being an open event, other registrations will be accepted as long as there is space available and these participants will attend as observers.

Is this an international event?

Answer:

Yes. Aboriginal representatives from the 5 continents are expected to attend.

4. Question:

When will the Indigenous Peoples’ Forest Declaration be presented at the Congress?

Answer:

The Indigenous Peoples’ Forest Declaration will be presented at the XII WFC on Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at 8:00 a.m..
